What a day.

My grandma is sick.

I have a new favorite poem:
(you'd better read it)

The Journey

One day you finally knew
what you had to do
, and began,
though the voices around you
kept shouting
their bad advice --
though the whole house
began to tremble
and
you felt the old tug
at your ankles.
"Mend my life!"

each voice cried.
But you didn't stop.

You knew what you had to do,
though the wind pried
with its stiff fingers
at the very foundations,
though their melancholy
was terrible.
It was already late
enough, and a wild night,
and the road full of fallen
branches and stones.
But little by little,
as
you left their voices behind,
the stars began to burn
through the sheets of clouds,
and
there was a new voice
which you slowly
recognized as your own
,
that kept you company
as you strode deeper and deeper
into the world,
determined to do
the only thing you could do --

determined to save
the only life you could save
.

This poem from Rachel made my day:

"O Hannah my long lost friend,
where is it that you've been?
Have you gone far away,
or do you still live by the bay?
I don't see you outside my door,
I don't see you at all anymore,
O it makes me sad that you are gone,
and I just wonder for how long,
I miss your funny faces,
and Staci's jokes about all the races,
O the days when I was there,
and when we got to cut your hair,
O how funny you did look,
or when Carly drooled all over her calculus book.
So much time has past,
and some how all the memories are what last,
for I don't know how I make it here on my own,
since the distance between us as surely grown.
'Til I see you next I bid you adieu,
and some how I know I will be seeing you."

Currently Listening
Based on a True Story
By The Starting Line
Ready
see related
my legs are in pain.
i am in pain.

"I've been waiting for good news
We're to continue singing these ones
To the same demographic
Be it not perfect
Let it be heard by those taking an interest
Not for the critics holding their ears

Gonna get ready
Gonna get ready

I've been waiting for answers
Dancing in circles, making me sick
I've been chained like a tiger
To hundreds of liars all holding hands

Gonna get ready
Gonna get ready

Now I'm calling all the time
All I wanted was a little bit
Of time for me to try, try to get up
I'm gonna get up
All they wanted was a little bit of time for me
To clear my head, to clear my head
[x3]

Gotta clear it up
I'm calling all the time
All I wanted was a little bit
Of time for me to try, try to get up
I'm gonna get up
All they wanted was a little bit of time for me
To clear my head, to clear my head."

MMMMMMMMMM. . .turkey goodness.

My stomach must have been satisfied at least ten times this evening. Haley and Kara's thanksgiving dinner came out beautifully. The food was soo good. What was my favorite dish? They were all soo delicious I cannot choose just one.

My mouth is watering just talking about it.

This calls for some christmas lyrics:

(sung by my chemical romance. sooo good)

"I donÕt want a lot for Christmas
There is just one thing I need
I donÕt care about the presents
Underneath the Christmas tree
I just want you for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true..
Baby all I want for Christmas is you

I donÕt want a lot for Christmas there is just one thing I need
And I donÕt care about the presents underneath the Christmas tree
I donÕt need to hang my stocking way above the fireplace
Santa Clause won't make me happy with a toy on Christmas day

And I just want you for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true
Oh baby all I want for Christmas is you, you baby

I won't ask for much this Christmas
I won't even wish for snow (oh I won't even wish for snow)
IÕm just gonna keep on waiting underneath the mistletoe
I won't make a list and send it to the North Pole for St Nick
Won't even stay awake to hear the magic reindeer play

Cause I just want you here tonight,
Holdin' on to me so tight
What more can I do?
Oh baby all I want for Christmas is you, oh ba.. baby

Oh our lives are shinin' surrounding everywhere (surrounding everywhere)
Where the sounds of childrenÕs laughter fills the air (laughter fills the air)
And everyone is singin' oh I hear those sleigh bells ringin'
Santa won't you bring me the one I really need
Won't you bring back my baby to me!

I donÕt want a lot for Christmas
This is all IÕm askin for
I just want to see my baby
Standing right outside my door

I just want you for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true!!
All I want for Christmas is you, you..
It's you, you, oh baby!!
All I want is you [x4]
You, you, you, you, you
